The school's goal is to prepare students for the digital, multimedia, multi-tasking world in which they live, and enhance their educational and creative experiences through the use of cutting-edge technological tools.

Technology is fully integrated into the curriculum, enhancing all facets of the learning experience, from General Studies to the Judaic Studies program. Each year, the level of technology expectations increases. Safe use of the Internet is stressed throughout the school.

SMARTBoards
People choose the SMARTBoard interactive whiteboard because it helps energize presentations and motivate learners. In 1991, it was the world's first interactive whiteboard. Today, it is the world's leading interactive whiteboard. Combining the simplicity of a whiteboard with the power of a computer, the SMARTBoard interactive whiteboard engages students and audiences around the world.

The touch-sensitive display connects to your computer and digital projector to show your computer image. Users can then control computer applications directly from the display, write notes in digital ink and save work to share later.

Most Hillel Day School classrooms are equipped with SmartBoards.

United Streaming
Discovery Education UnitedStreaming is a digital video-based learning resource from Discovery Education. With Discovery Education UnitedStreaming, educators gain on-demand access to 50,000 content-specific segments from 5,000 full-length educational videos.

BrainPOP
FACTS ABOUT BRAINPOP
BrainPOP is an educational program that provides curriculum-based content spanning six main subjects including: Science, Math, English, Social Studies, Health and Technology.

BrainPOP currently features more than 500 animated movies. Each movie is supported by activities such as a quiz, comic strip, experiment and other printable worksheets, all of which speak to kids in a language and voice that they can understand. 

Developed according to national education standards (NCTM, NSES, & NCTE), BrainPOP's movies are searchable with our user-friendly state standards tool, powered by EdGate. 

BrainPOP has won multiple education and media awards, including the Association of Educational Publishers' Distinguished Achievement Award for Best Educational Website for Children; the top prize at the New York Flash Forward festival; Forbes Best of the Web; and the Media and Methods Awards Portfolio Prize.
